if selecting Left and Right powered and passive SUB configuration do the two monitor sends lose the low frequencies as well or does that only change the powered LEFT/RIGHT outputs?

I would think that it does not affect the monitor sends, only the main speakers. Can you tell by listening to the monitor speakers only?

i haven't ordered additional equipment yet (amp for passive monitors) so i have nothing to run my wedges with to try it in the LEFT/RIGHT MONO SUB configuration.

The "moving" high pass only affects the signals going to the internal amplifiers.
If you look in section 23 of the manual, the high pass is explained in each example. You can see in each case, the high pass only affects the speaker outputs. It is assumed, if you are adding powered speakers or an amp/speaker combo, they would have their own filtering.
