In ear monitors

Post by cloudshaker » Sun Dec 29, 2019 6:12 pm

I have a dr 1220 powered mixer, and want to use the sure psm 300 in ear monitoring system. Does anyone know where the best place to connect to the mixer ? Also does it need to be powered out, or un powered? I've never used i.e. monitors so I'm still not sure. I will eventually go to a digital board but I am still using this mixer and it is in perfect shape still. Thanks

If your mixer has an un-used Aux output, connect it to the input of your Shure in-ear monitor system. That way, you can mix into it whatever your band members want to hear in their earphones. Do not connect your Shure in-ear system to a powered output.
