Peavey Transtube fex problem

Post by daltonwhite » Sun May 27, 2012 1:14 pm

Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm having an issue. I look forward to any help.

I am running a transtube fex processor through a 50/50 power amp to a 4/12 cab. I hadn't fired it up in some time and now it is "farting" and then cutting out completely.

The green light on the fex lights up so I know I'm getting a signal. The sound will come back intermittently then fade then cut out completely. Shutting off the 50/50 then turning it back on seems to bring the sound back for a short time. The best sound I get is the 5 seconds or so when I turn off the 50/50.

I have plugged direct in to the 50/50 with no problem, and have tried the fex though a combo amp with same results, so I'm convinced its the fex.

Keep in mind that I played the other day for an hour using a heavy distortion patch that gave me no problems. However, some of the patches that used delay and flange and chorus would cut out.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue with mine. Were you able to solve this?
