Peavey PVM835
Peavey PVM835
I have a Peavey PVM835 Handheld Dynamic Cardioid Diamond Microphone. It has worked well through the years, although I hardly use it. The past couple of years, the finish on the handle seems to be simply getting sticky. Like someone has put tree sap on it. Seriously. I think it was suppose to be a rubber type coating originally. Now it's just sticky goo... I like the microphone, but can't hold it or use it now. What's causing this, and any remedy?

Re: Peavey PVM835
I have recently purchased a new-old-stock version and the same thing is happening. I have not examined this or explored a remedy yet.

One of the my older Peavey wireless has the same issue. I finally ended up using lacquer thinner to remove all the rubbery goo. Not sure what causes it and it's only happened on that one mic.
