I'm done! And it still works! It sounds really great with 2x12 cab.
Here's the finished head:
I think I put in as much time deciding how to finish the face plate as I did to built the cabinet and cover it. I ended up choosing a black marine grade vinyl that has some great texture to it. It sort of looks like speaker cloth. I also picked up some piping at the fabric store, which really finished it off nice (it had some gaps around the edges).
Here's the 1/4 stack:
And the back of the head. I ended connecting the internal speaker wires to the back of the brace to an input jack. I couldn't get a clear answer of what to do with them, since the head already has a 16ohm output jack. I was scared that the loose wire might be looking for a load (yep, I'm not the brightest electronics guy).
And the back shot:

Wow, that looks way better than factory. Kind of refreshing to see an amp not black or grey. Looks very professional, maybe open boutique amp cabinet store?

Re: Pimp my Vypyr (Head Cab Build)
This is one of the best looking handmade amp heads I've ever seen!
My friend did something similar with his Fender Supersonic combo but he had someone build it for him. Great job on the Vypyr Head Cab Build! I wish I had one! I love having my Vypyr 30 as a combo but I might buy a second one and do your mod to it and make it an amp head. Thanks for sharing the photos etc!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
The head ways in at 30 lbs which makes it totally portable. I wrote up a tutorial here if any of you want to try it out:

Great job, and I'm not inclined to undeserved flattery! I mean great!
Re: Pimp my Vypyr (Head Cab Build)
BUMP for a killer thread! Nice T60 head, Jacko! By the way, your DIY write up instructions for building a Vypyr Tube 60 head over at ultimate-guitar.com are an amazing contribution as well.
Has anyone else built a Vypyr T60 head?
I just picked up a second new T60 with a damaged cabinet for $200, I plan on building a head cabinet for it.
My idea was to tilt the controls back either 45 degrees or even 90 degress. The thought is that I have a hard time seeing the controls clearly now, even when I have my combo sitting on top of a 2x12 extension cabinet it's a bit hard to see and I don't imagine ever having this on top of a pair of 4x12 cabinets so it wont ever be up at eye level.
