The 400 Sampera 2 presets

Post by chicagocoma13 » Thu Mar 03, 2011 6:27 pm

Does anyone know if you can manually program all the 400 presets without the Sanpera 2 ? I imagine you can but am not sure. I returned my San 2 but kept my Vypyr 75 and now am really missing some settings from the San. --- including the bass guitar tones. I am new so I am wondering if there was ever diagrams or a list showing how to acheive the 400 settings---without the Sanpera. Thanks and any info would be greatly appeciated.

Funny no one ever looks in FAQ.

There are 72 factory presets (12 "standard" presets accessible from the front panel, plus an additional 60 accessible through the Sanpera). After that, the same 72 are repeated.

Look in about post #8.

I could be wrong but I do not think you can acess the presets (besides the 12 on the front) without the Sanpera. How would you be able to scroll up & dowm thru the banks without it?

I think you misunderstood the FAQ, and/or didn't quote everything. The next line says:
The code won't allow an "empty" preset, so the factory presets just repeat over and over. You can overwrite them to save your own sounds.
The repetition comes in quite handy when you overwrite a factory preset and then decide to get it back later.

All of the presets are in the vypyr's onboard memory. The san pedal gives the ability to access the ones above a,b,c. And you can use the librarian to load new presets to replace those in banks A,B,C.
My name is WT, and I approve this opinion.

You can get at all the presets by using a midi pedal board such as Behringer FCB1010 (firmware 1.65 up I think) and then store in those extra locations (or any device that sends program change messages could be used).

Is there a list of the factory presets?
