VIP 3 and Sanpera I
You can access any of the presets in the VIP 3 with a Sanpera I, not just the first four banks only. Obviously, you can only access four banks at a time. Just manually select the bank(s) you want to access.
For example:
Using the presets selector on the amp, scroll to bank 20 and select. You can now switch banks 20 through 23 with the Sanpera I.

Latest Firmware Update
Here are the latest Firmware and Updater files for the VIP series.
The VIP Editor can now be found at this link:
http://peavey.com/support/software/
VIP MAC editor is here (Note: This software is not compatible with OS 10.15 (Catalina), as that update does not support 32 bit applications):
https://assets.peavey.com/static/peavey ... 10.pkg.zip
The VIP presets page is at this link:
https://secure.peavey.com/vypyredit/
I also strongly encourage viewing the Editor Demo Video, which also explains the update process:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnjRWMkhEL8
NOTE! Do NOT attempt to load this firmware into a first generation series Vypyr!

Re: Vypyr VIP Tips/Tricks/FAQ
A few notes regarding USB recording.
The speaker is intentionally muted when USB output is in use although the headphone output is active for real time monitoring.
WHEN the speaker actually mutes will depend upon the software you are using. For example, in Reaper the speaker should mute once you enable the Vypyr as the input source. Other software may not mute the speaker until you arm the track for recording, etc..
In other words, once the amp is notified that the computer is calling for it's audio, the speaker will mute. When that will occur depends upon the software you are using.
Please note that Peavey does not offer recording software support. That is the job of the software developers. The VIP is a class compliant USB device. If it is recognized by your computer it is working properly.
Here are a few forums I found that might be helpful. I will add more as I find them:

Re: Vypyr VIP Tips/Tricks/FAQ
To avoid writing to flash each time the knob moves or a foot switch is pressed, the VIP software waits until the user inputs are idle for at least 10 seconds before saving the last loaded preset.
In order for the amp to power up on the last preset used, wait 10 seconds after preset changes to power down the amplifier. When the amp is powered back up, it should return to the last preset used before shutdown.
Also, make sure demo mode is turned off.
