When I play my 8-string guitar through my Pro 100, I can't get the low notes to sound right on any of my distorted presets. The notes come clear and articulate--like they would on a clean channel--but not distorted.
I've tried adjusting the bass and treble settings, but can't seem to fix it. Any suggestions on how to get the same metal tones from my presets to apply to lower register notes when I play an 8- or 9-string?
Thanks in advance.

I have a Schecter Blackjack ATX with SD Blackouts. I've tried dialing down the tone on the guitar and bass/mid/treble settings on the amp, as well the input settings. Any thoughts?

Do any of your model bays say "no amp"?ahalaw wrote:I have a Schecter Blackjack ATX with SD Blackouts. I've tried dialing down the tone on the guitar and bass/mid/treble settings on the amp, as well the input settings. Any thoughts?

No, all of the empty bays say "Empty."

Ahh well. I was remembering a similar experience where I had a clean sound coming through with the distortion sound. I think it was a problem with the "no amp" bays. It might be worth populating the empty bays with other stuff. Try it that way, maybe save it, then put it back the original way and try it again. Maybe the amp is stuck in some weird place and letting a clean sound through.ahalaw wrote:No, all of the empty bays say "Empty."

I filled the banks with clean amps but left them unused and the sounds still persists. Do you think the amp just doesn't distort notes at that low of a frequency?

Have you tried setting the models (banks) you do not want to use in bypass. In display the model name becomes lower case when in bypass. You may already know this but I though I would ask anyway.ahalaw wrote:I filled the banks with clean amps but left them unused and the sounds still persists.
