Vip 2 vs 3 sound quality
I know that there are a lot of forms like this but one question has never really been answered, Does the vip 3 sound better than the vip 2 cause my local gc has a 2 just waiting for me to pick up cause my last amp (a blackstar) broke and my drummer wants to practice asap. I don't care about effects or ui cause I'm gonna be getting the sablera 2 as well.
Re: Vip 2 vs 3 sound quality
i bought a VIP1 for $50 off CL, just because it was so cheap and i couldn't pass it up.
with that being said, if it was my only amp, it would drive me crazy - way too annoying to deal with on a regular basis. i'd look at the VIP3 if you can - the display screen is most definitely needed to see what the hell is going on.

Re: Vip 2 vs 3 sound quality
I went from a VIP 1 to a VIP 2 and finally to a VIP 3. Yes, in my opinion, the 3 sounds better than the 2 mainly because it has the power to put out the low end sound better. Both sport a 12" speaker, but 40 watts isn't enough for good low end for me. The 2 always sounded a little weak compared to my Vypyr 75 with both at the same volume. And I really like how the power sponge works on the 3!

Re: Vip 2 vs 3 sound quality
thanks but I don't need to much low end as it will be drowned out by my bass player and I ended up getting the 2 which i'm very happy with
