Missing fact to update VIP 3

I've been trying to update my new VIP 3 for almost 2 weeks without success. I searched all over the forums here and elsewhere, but no one seemed to have my problem: just wouldn't update.
As it turns out, the amp needs to be in "Demo" mode to complete the update. I turned it off immediately, so just had to turn it back on. Somewhere, it should be noted that Demo needs to be on for the update.
