VSX settings
Hi everyone, I have a question for those in the know, I loaded the Versarray settings from the Peavey website, are those settings made for a 3 hang system? Both crossovers for the highs are set at 1000hz. Now pdf for the settings say the crossover for the highs should be set at 2000 and 3000 hz respectively. Thank you

Re: VSX settings
Well Euro, it is just not that simple as the X-Over point.
Are they VR-112 Mark I ?
Are they VR-112 Mark II Neodymium (NEO) Magnets ?
Are they VR-`112 Mark II Barium Ferrite Magnets
Different presets for all, and different for number of Subs and VR-112
Sub is:
High Pass (HP) (Low Cut) @ 34 Hz 4th Order (-24 dB per Octave) Linkwitz/Riley (L/R.
Low Pass (LP) (High Cut) @ 100 Hz 4th L/R
Low is:
HP @ 100 Hz 4th L/R
LP @ 2000 Hz 4th L/R
High is:
HP @ 3000 Hz 4th Order with a Bessel (Bs) Filter function
LP @ 18000 2nd Order (-12 dB) Bs
Then there are front end (Input) EQ and a number of parametrics. All of which depend on the number of elements hung.
So the additional info is attached.
You're welcome.

More:
Also ALL Amplifiers must have the same Voltage Gain. The presets are calibrated to amplifiers with a 40 times voltage gain or +32 dB. See:
Here are the latest preset updates for both the NEO and Farrite magnets:Neo, rev3
EQ after crossover: Woofer EQ =
PEQ +1.5 dB @ 560 Hz, bw=0.5;
PEQ -3.5 dB @ 850 Hz, bw=0.5
PEQ +3 dB @ 115 Hz, bw= 2;
PEQ –1.5 dB @ 2.2 kHz, bw=.707;
PEQ –2 dB @ 700 Hz, bw=3.0
EQ after crossover: Woofer EQ =
PEQ +4 dB @ 560 Hz, bw=0.5;
PEQ -2.5 dB @ 800 Hz, bw=0.5
PEQ +2 dB @ 1.2 kHz, bw= 0.5;
TKTTKANUTDM But you can now look in through the screen door. ;>)[/attachment]

Re: VSX settings
Thank you so much Mr McCann for all the info you provided me, it helped tremendously and I thank you for all of your help. The system we have is the MK1. I applied what you wrote but the system still sounded dull. Well it turns out, after checking every cable and connection, that some fuses on the back of the cabs were burned out. I have searched online but I could only locate fuses for SP6 and SP5 and the likes but nothing for Versarray. They look the same so I'm wondering if they would work with our speakers. On a different note I want to apologize for thinking it was the system that didn't sound good when in fact it was user error, mine.
