iPad 2 Compatibilty

Post by Wadess » Sun Mar 27, 2011 10:36 pm

Is the Ampkit Link compatible with the iPad 2? It works fine with my iPhone, but I get no headphone output using it with the iPad 2. Is there something wrong with my unit?

It works fine on my iPad2, both in AmpKit and GarageBand.

It should work perfectly with the iPad 2. If you experience differently, let us know at [email protected]

I'm guessing it might be a short then. I'll test it thoroughly tonight. Thanks.

Has the plug design changed since introduction? I tried my link and it really seems like it doesn't plug in all the way before hitting the curve of the iPad 2. I checked the link on an iPhone 3G, 4, & iPad original. All of those work fine and the headphone jack on the iPad 2 functions fine. Any ideas?

We worked pretty hard to create a plug design that was "future proof". We have 3 iPad 2's, and LiNK plugs into them just fine.

I see the issue you mention, which is that the post is exposed slightly from the bottom side of the iPad 2, but it should still be working. If this is really refusing to work, keep me posted.

Ok. There must be something wrong with mine then. I'll contact the email address you mentioned.

Nope, youre not having a short. Im not being able to connect to my ipad either. Works fine with my iphone. Ive checked and its definetly the plug, its not going in all the way. Could it be some came out defficient and are a bit extra thick in the rubbery area just under the plug¿

Just checked the connection again.. The last black stripe of the plug is not going in.... Could this be an ipad hardware issue.

Definitely get in touch with us at info@agilepartners - as mentioned, it is designed to work just fine, but there are always exceptions. We'll do our best to get you fixed up.
