Updates about Mk IV

Re: Updates about Mk IV
I can't wait to try out the ACT feature.
One feature I hope is added at a later date is tonematching. I currently use a different product to make custom tonematched ir's for Revalver 3.5, but would love for it to be included in Revalver. So many isolated guitar tracks out there of famous artist's guitar sounds... it just makes sense.

For now, ReValver allows you to tweak each module down to the components and save as is. But there is more to come once R4 is released.pentecost wrote:HALLELUJAH!!!
ok, back to being a pain...
didn't see mention of custom module building in any of the literature, which i'll probably want to dive into on day 1. i've got schematics coming out of my schematics.
will this be a "build from the ground up" thing, or more of a "change this existing one until you've got what you want, and save it as a new module" thing?
better yet, is it possible to build in SPICE now and import models on release? I imagine proprietary component libraries, or how the engine is integrated, are the make or break of this possibility.
You all need to keep in mind that the modules for ReValver 4 are not final, more will be developed. This is just the beggining...

Re: Updates about Mk IV
Some synth style components would be great.
Re: Updates about Mk IV
I am curious if this has been tested on any Windows Tablets? I was thinking of picking up an Asus Vivotab 8, which runs Windows 8.... but is not as powerful as a Surface tablet. During development, has it been tested with different brand tablets, and if so, has the one I mentioned been tested? I obviously want to make sure it is powerful enough to run Revalver 4 when I want to go mobile.

It was also said that it will be able to run on Windows tablets.
Re: Updates about Mk IV
I have an Asus 1215n netbook with Windows 7 that I travel with that is several years old with an Atom D525 (dual core 1.88Ghz) and 2GB RAM. It runs MkIII.V standalone reasonably well with an IK StealthPlug with buffer around 192 or just under with simple presets like a pedal or two, amp, and RIR and Revalver shows around 40-50% CPU load.carltonec wrote:I am curious if this has been tested on any Windows Tablets? It looks like the Vivotab 8 has a quad core Atom Z3740 at 1.33GHz that goes up to 1.88GHz with "turbo". I'd guess the Revalver performance would have a lot to do with how the turbo works, whether it's more of a software-triggered burst type thing, can be switched manually, or while plugged in, etc.
Re: Updates about Mk IV
Thanks for the info Skog.
I was just curious if it has been tested on any of the tablets by the developers, and what to expect. I would like to be able to use revalver in a live jam setting without lugging a pc along. A small tablet would be ideal, and when I heard that Revalver 4 would be able to run on Windows 8 tablets, I became intrigued.

Re: Updates about Mk IV
im sure it would work on a windows laptop tablet with asio driver and stuff, ykno the ones with detachable keyboard. Those are basically a Windows PC in a slab .... one of these for example http://blog.laptopmag.com/top-windows-tablets-hybrids

Re: Updates about Mk IV
That's close to what I bought. I went ahead and bought an Asus VivoTab Smart ME400C-C1-BK. It should run Revalver 4. If not, it's still a decent tablet. My desktop system will run anything I throw at it, but I really want to use a tablet for guitar stuff too. I am a little underwhelmed with the guitar apps I have for my iPad Air. I prefer the full Revalver experience.
Re: Updates about Mk IV
yeah ive got revalver 3.5 running on something the same, was all good after connecting a decent usb audio and driver

$49.99 upgrade = no-brainer!
4 days. I really like the gig mode. This is something I have wished was available in 3.5.

I don't think I'm going to make it to the 19th.
