How to Use Revalver Live in a DAW

Post by roundsound » Fri Nov 11, 2016 8:34 am

1. You'll need an interface with at least 4 ins and outs.
2. You'll need two ASIO engines. Your interface should have come with one and your DAW should have come with one. If not you can download ASIO4all for free and it's a great ASIO engine.
3. Now go into your DAW and disable audio from one of your interface's inputs. All decent DAWs have this function. You might need to check your manual to find out how. Most likely you'll only be able to disable a stereo pair.
4. Open Revalver and in the Audio Devices dialog choose the ASIO engine not being used by your DAW. Then choose to output your audio through the channels you disabled in your DAW.
5. Using a short patch cable, plug one end into the physical output you chose for your interface in Revalver then plug the other end into the input you want your guitar signal to come into your DAW.
6. Open Revalver and your DAW in any order and you'll have the two programs running at once, multitasking. Set Revalver to Gig Mode and the signal will be available in your DAW.
