Does anyone know which available amp in Revalver 4 would allow me to get closest to recreating the sound of a Peavey 5150 II? I'm covering a song and I believe the guitarist used a 5150 II, running into a Mesa 4x12, and I'm trying to get that sound.
I would appreciate a suggestion on an amp and maybe a ballpark range as far as any EQ differences that may exist from the 5150.
Also, the "California" cabs are basically their version of Mesa Boogie cabs, right?
Thank you!
Which Amp Would be Similar to the 5150?

Re: Which Amp Would be Similar to the 5150?
The 6505 is basically the same as the 5150.
When Van Halen left Peavey endorsement, they re-vamped the 5150 into the 6505, because Van Halen owns the rights to the '5150' name.
The amp is actually the same.
Peavey uses the name 'Flathill' for anything Mesa Boogie. There are several cabs to choose from...
So a 6505 with one of the Flathill cabs is going to get you close to the sound you're looking for.

Fastwind is correct. I've been also looking for something similar to 5150 and it turns out that 6505 is almost the same amp, just different name. Didn't know the reason behind it tho. Thanks for sharing the background story Fastwind
