Windows 10/ Xport ?

Post by TONIK » Fri Dec 11, 2015 12:25 pm

Hi,
My device stopped working on Windows 10 x64.
I've use ASSIO driver as recommended on your wersite. But after major update of windows 10 here's what I get, screenshot attached:

I've tried to uninstall\ reinstall usb hub drivers, also drivers for this device.
Any suggestion how to get it working again?
Also is there any way to use native driver on windows 10 instead of ASSIO ?

Hello,

Please consider trying this: Uninstall the drivers you currently have installed. Then download the drivers provided in Peavey's site, and reinstall them right clicking the installer and selecting Run as administrator. After the installation if finished, plug the Xport and wait for the OS to recognize it. Then, install ASIO4All and set it up to use the Xport as the audio device.
I wouldn't use other driver type than ASIO.
If it still doesn't work, we can do a remote support session in which I can help you setup it.

Thanks for your reply.
It's fixed now. After Major Windows 10 update ASIO driver was not migrated and I had to reinstall it.
However I still have a horrible hiccup\cracks in reaper on my Laptop, that is Lenovo T420 with quite ok CPU (Core i7), had same problem on old PC, but work just fine on another laptop (away older than my Lenovo). Have no clue what can cause such behavior. I've tried to play around buffers in ASIO with no luck.
Do you have any Ideas what else should I try ?
Thanks in advance.

Those noises should be fixed by increasing latency. It would also depend on how many plugins you have running at the same time. I have an i7 too and when I push it too hard (using lots of plugins in resampling mode) it suffers a little bit.
