What is your opinion of this product?
Man I was blown away with the results with this microphone as my Hall Drums microphone, it totally made my kit sound as a whole, when you compress this mic in the mix and add a bit of harmonics it really shines for that rock n roll roomy sound, this thing is killer for drums! I tried this in a second test with guitar cabinets for rock and metal, dude... The classic sm57 combined with this is the dream combo for a super full and rich sound, my guitars sounded punchier than ever with this combination, just make sure to phase align this mic with the 57 and they will add up super nice! I think this mic is a total sleeper, I don't know why it's not famous yet, but compared to my cascade microphones this little guy does the trick very well, I could say its just as good as my fatheads, but meaner, it takes harmonic distortion really well! I'm really happy I could get this mic, I just wish peavey notified me if they have any of these in copper finish since I cannot find them anywhere, would be super nice to have a copper ribbon mic to do a blumlein config room sound... GET THIS MIC! You wont regret it!
