Peavey Wins Music Inc Supplier Excellence Award

PEAVEY INT'L. HEADQUARTERS — Music-product retailers have voted Peavey Electronics its fifth Music Inc Supplier Excellence Award in the survey's seven years of existence.

"The annual Music Inc Supplier Excellence Awards recognize the manufacturers and distributors that music retailers love doing business with," said Zach Phillips, editor of Music Inc magazine. "Congratulations to Peavey, which continues to be a perennial Supplier Excellence Award winner. Peavey's products, investment in infrastructure and fairness to its dealer base continue to make it an industry leader."

Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics, told Music Inc, "My methods haven't changed in 45 years. From day one, Peavey dealers have had a direct line to my desk. I am always willing to listen to their needs and try to give them what they want. That continues today, because I don't answer to a board of directors or banks. I answer to my dealers and our retail customers."

Music Inc has produced the Supplier Excellence Awards since 2003. Companies are nominated by retailers, and the retailers vote via an online survey. Peavey has won previous Music Inc Supplier Excellence Awards in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
