Peavey's VYPYR Pro 100 Named "Product of the Year"

The Peavey VYPYR Pro 100 Amplifier was named Product of the Year in the 30th Annual Music Sound Awards. Each year, the award is given by Music Sound Retailer magazine and voted upon by music-product retailers from across the U.S.

The award winning VYPYR Pro 100 is not only designed to be a live performing amplifier, but also the most technologically advanced amp ever made by Peavey Electronics.This product uses analog distortion, and has a digital processor that has the ability to offer almost limitless combinations of additional stomp boxes, rack effects, amplifiers and now even instrument models. The result is an overall better tonality.

The VYPYR Pro 100 represents the pinnacle of modeling amplifier design. Combining analog distortion with more processing power than any previous VYPYR, the VYPYR Pro yields almost limitless tone possibilities, Fred Poole, the GM of Product Development at Peavey Electronics stated after the win. Because of the advanced dual-processor design, the VYPYR Pro can run up to four amplifier/instrument/effects models in parallel. Using the VYPYR Pros unique architecture, the VYPYR is capable of designing a variety of signal path combinations. Four module bays, each with its own distinct LCD, can be assigned to an amplifier, effect, stomp box or, in the first position, instrument model, allowing the professional player to create the rig of their dreams inside a single combo amplifier.
