Product Description

Delta Woods™ DW-2 CE™ Solid Top Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar with Electronics
Peavey returns to the roots of an American tradition with the introduction of the Delta Woods acoustic guitars. The DW series guitars are designed to be the best-sounding, easiest-playing, full-size acoustic guitars Peavey has ever built. These guitars are made using only high-end materials and a minimalistic satin finish, resulting in excellent tone and volume. Whether players are casually strumming a traditional 12-bar blues riff or exercising modern fingerpicking techniques, Peavey's Delta Woods acoustic guitars deliver rich tonal resonance and premium playability.

The Delta Woods DW-2 CE offers a gorgeous spruce top with mahogany back and sides for premium tone. The solid spruce top offers incomparable resonance and sustain. Hand-carved bracing provides even tone distribution throughout the guitar's range. The DW-2 CE also has a bound fingerboard and body along with a fanciful rosette, rosewood fretboard, and pearloid dot inlays for a premium look and feel.

Other high-end appointments include sealed tuning machines for precise and accurate tuning, pre-installed strap buttons, a compensated saddle for ideal intonation, and a wood truss rod cover for the dual-action truss rod, designed to ensure a lifetime of playability.

The DW-2 CE (cutaway and electronic) is a series standout, offering both a cutaway for easy access to upper-register strings as well as custom electronics. The 3-band EQ and Presence control provide tone-shaping and easy connection to any amplifier or audio system, while the on-board chromatic tuner helps to ensure the guitar's stage-readiness.

The Delta Woods series guitars feature a luxury satin finish that offers a rustic appearance, with beautiful, natural wood grain on the back, sides and headstock.

Sounds and plus great, spruce top is to thin and cracks
Overall

What is your opinion of this product?

I ordered a used dw2 ce online from guitar center. I played it and sounded and felt great, stayed in tune well. Later in the day I noticed that the spruce top had been cracked and repaired. I returned it back to guitar center. To avoid the problem I ordered another brand new dw2 ce from target online. When the package arrived the spruce top was cracked wide open, there was no damage to the box from shipping. Very disappointed and now I’m looking for something else that sounds as good. It’s too bad because I prefer peavey and own many great peavey products.

very very nice

What is your opinion of this product?

My opinion is I like it, a lot. As an object I find no flaws in it's construction at all. Built in tuner is easier to use than the one on my kid's higher end Ibanez. Sounds good hooked up to an amp. If this guitar makes a bad sound it is all on me and my monkey fists skill level. Friends who are better players say it is a good guitar. Added a pimp pickguard, named it Sweet Pea, looking ornamental on stand in living room. I do not normally write reviews but there are so few on this guitar I thought I'd give it my endorsement.

Amazing overall tone for the price!

What is your opinion of this product?

I bought another known brand online for the same price. It arrived with a crack in the body, tuned it up and it had little resonance and flat tonal sound. Returned it and bought this Peavey. MUCH better over sound and features. As with most lower priced Guitars it needs better strings which I will install shortly. The electronics are solid for amplification and the tuner works well. Buy it!

Subject: Successor to the Briarwood Series?
Discussion: Is the Delta-Wood series the successor to the Briarwood, and does Peavey offer the cutaway dreadnought without electronics? Peavey Response: The Delta-Wood series is the successor to the Briarwood. Unfortunately we do not offer the cutaway dreadnought without electronics.
