The Peavey SP® 218 passive subwoofer adds high-output, low-distortion bass to SP Series and other full-range speaker systems. Two 18-inch Pro Rider® woofers in a vented enclosure provide strong bass extension, with power handling rated at 1,200 watts continuous, 2,400 watts program, and 4,800 watts peak. Each driver features an advanced cooling system and a 4-inch voice coil with edge-wound aluminum wire.

Flexible input connections support both single- and dual-amplifier operation. The parallel inputs provide a nominal 4-ohm configuration, while the Neutrik® SpeakOn® switching jack provides independent access to the two 8-ohm woofers without manually rewiring the enclosure.

Built from internally braced hardwood plywood, the SP 218 features a textured black painted finish and a full-length, wrap-around perforated steel grille. Rear tilt-back casters help with transport, and a built-in M20-threaded pole mount plate provides positive support for the included threaded pole. In addition to reinforcing full-range systems, the SP 218 can be used for bass guitar, keyboard, and drum monitoring.
