Many uses.

What is your opinion of this product?

I've owned my Elf for several years now. I always keep it in my case as a back up for my 1500 watt amp. Great at practice, and have even used it as a DJ. On several occasions I opted to use it on stage as my main amp, and loved the looks I initially got from the rest of the band wondering "where is your amp"?. Great product. Great sound!

Great little giggable amp

What is your opinion of this product?

Great sounding very simple to use amp. yes I( have rehearsed and even gigged with this wee beauty. It's pretty much become the industry standard backup amp with usable tone, good stage power and DI. Please read how the gain knob works to understand how to get the best from it. This amp pairs beautifully with the new generation of ultra-light, high efficiency 2x12 4-ohm cabs for a super-portable rig loud enough to keep up with a rock drummer, or with an ultra light 1x10 4-ohm cab for smaller gigs. Sadly TE themselves don't do such cabs, which is strange and sad. If the fan is too loud, you aren't actually playing through this amp... and I saw someone complain that after several hours use, the amp wasn't hot because of the fan - doh! That's err, because the fan does a good job not much point if it only works when the amp is overheating!

unnecessary loud fan

What is your opinion of this product?

I like the size and the sound. It's enough for small gigs (Theatre and jazz) What I don't like is the fact that the fan is too loud and it starts with turning on the amp. IT IS NOT TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED. That doesn't make sense. After playing for 4 hours it is barely warm when you touch it.
