Product Description

MiniMEGA™ 1000-Watt Mini Bass Amp Head

Delivering classic Peavey tone, the MiniMEGA features 1,000 Watts of power and produces incredibly full and rich sound in a compact package that weighs in at only 9 lbs.

Using technology not found in other bass amps, the MiniMEGA represents a new level of compact bass amplifier performance. Peavey's proprietary KOSMOS enhancement provides increased bass impact, while the exclusive psychoacoustic low-end enhancement adds bass without overburdening speakers -- a testament to Peavey's technology-driven innovation. The MiniMEGA contains additional modern features such as built-in compression and a 4-band EQ with semi-parametric mids.

The back panel of the MiniMEGA has all the connectivity necessary to patch in effects or connect to a sound reinforcement system. Complete with an effects loop, gain control, crunch button, tuner output and more, the MiniMEGA delivers the high level features that today's professional bass player demands. Ideal for use in any live or studio setting, the MiniMEGA is the go-to amplifier for bassists of every style.

What a workhorse!

What is your opinion of this product?

I love this amp and own two of them. This isba roadworthy piece of gear which has never let me down in live situations. I play clubs and open airs and the amp's versatility is second to none. The preamp offers patching capabilities, tineeshaping is a breeze and beyond that it is midi capable, which is nice. I haven't found these features anywhere else.

Q & A
Feliiiras from United Kingdom

Subject: Ohms
Discussion: What impedance load in ohms will this amp drive safely? Peavy response: Down to a 4 Ohm load. That's the minimum.

Subject: Cabinet Matching and Voicing
Discussion: Is this amp voiced for Peavey Headliner 4X10 Bass enclosure like the Peavey Headliner 1000 bass amp was? In other words is this the matching head for the Peavey Headliner Cabinet series? Just the modern version of the headliner 1000 I suppose? Peavey response: Its not the matching head for the cab. That was the Headliner 1000. The mini-Mega is a huge step up from the Headliner Amp series. That cab is great with this head.
Jim from Santiago, Chile

Subject: Digital processing in the Minimega?
Discussion: Hi, I hope you are having a good day. Is the signal path for the bass fully analogue even with all of the whistles and bells (Kosmos) engaged? Thanks, James Peavey response: Yes it is.

Subject: Speaker Cab
Discussion: What speaker Cabs work with the Peavey MiniMEGA 1000-watt Lightweight Bass Head? Peavey Response: Any of the three below:
